Therapy services are provided by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches, along with trauma-informed techniques to address life's many ups and downs. These services are effective for various issues, including depression, anxiety, negative and limiting belief systems, parenting stressors, grief, and stress management. Additionally, we offer Intensive Therapy for those needing more focused support.
Therapy intensives are therapy sessions scheduled in 3-hour time spans, offering options for half-day, full-day, or multiday scheduling. It's important to note that insurance companies do not cover these therapy intensives, and the cost will be billed directly to the client, with half due at the time of scheduling and the balance due at the beginning of your appointment.
Why consider an intensive?
Intensives represent a unique approach to mental health therapy, making them an excellent choice for individuals who have spent years in traditional therapy with minimal progress or have found that 'talk therapy' alone isn't sufficient to address underlying issues. Traditional therapy, including methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR Therapy, can sometimes leave individuals feeling vulnerable and on edge between sessions, particularly when healing hasn’t fully taken place. The constraints of traditional 53-minute sessions may not allow for the deep healing that many seek.
In summary, intensive therapy sessions can provide:
- Accelerated progress—meaning that the equivalent of 6 weeks of traditional therapy can be accomplished in a full day intensive session!
- Deep work—without the limitations of traditional time constraints, intensives create the time and space needed for profound personal work required for healing, free from distractions.
- Flexible scheduling—ideal for those with tight time constraints, allowing individuals to prioritize work and family without the need to commit to weekly or biweekly sessions over long periods.
- Cost-effectiveness—intensives save both time and money due to the rapid establishment and achievement of treatment goals.
Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy, commonly known as EMDR Therapy, was developed in 1987 by Dr. Francine Shapiro and is a well-researched 8-phase treatment modality for healing trauma. Whether it’s a single incident traumatic experience or a complex trauma experience, EMDR utilizes bi-lateral stimulation to reprocess these experiences in a healthy and healing way. This therapeutic approach is beneficial for many reasons, including its ability to reduce the intensity of distressing memories, making it great for when you feel stuck in your healing process. Moreover, EMDR can help build new and healthy belief systems about yourself and your experiences. It can also serve as an add-on service to traditional therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, if you have a therapist you love but they aren't trained in EMDR.

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care, including Intensive Therapy, will cost.
Under the law, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, which includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also request a Good Faith Estimate from your health care provider, as well as any other provider you choose, before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Be sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
